In the year 2060, International Rescue is an organisation dedicated to saving the lives of accident victims in need of assistance once conventional rescue attempts have failed. Using the technologically advanced Thunderbirds - fantastic rescue vehicles designed by scientific genius Brains, piloted by Tracy brothers Scott, Virgil, Alan, Gordon and John, and their head of security, Kayo - the International Rescue team operates from a secret base located on a volcanic island somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. The team is assisted in their missions by a number of International Rescue operatives, including British aristocrat Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward, who, aided by her loyal butler, Parker, is always on hand to help with a difficult assignment. As well as dealing with dangerous life-threatening situations, the Tracy family also face the constant threat posed by the evil mastermind known as The Hood, who continually attempts to obtain the secrets of the fantastic Thunderbird craft by any means.

Created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson, ‘Thunderbirds Are Go’ is a 'reversion' of the original 'Thunderbirds' series from the 1960. But instead of the classic show's puppets, the new adventure series combines computer-generated graphics with live-action model work, along with the excellent storylines, tense situations and humour that one would expect from an Anderson show.

‘Thunderbirds Are Go’ proved popular enough for it to be renewed for more episodes, and it ran for three seasons on CITV. The adventures of International Rescue continue for a whole new generation to enjoy!
